As the temperatures start to cool off in Acworth, the fun starts to heat up! Our fall festivals are not to be missed and Acworth’s many outdoor events are a great way to experience the natural beauty and crispness of the autumn season in north Georgia.
MOTHER-SON CAMP OUT – Each September, Acworth hosts a Mother-Son Camp Out at Proctor Landing Park. Camp alongside the beautiful Lake Allatoona while learning about camping etiquette, campfire building, knot tying and a variety of other outdoor activities! This event is open to mothers and their sons, 13 and under. Not an experienced camper? No problem! Experienced volunteers will be available to assist you. See the Event Page
ACWOOF’S & WAVES– Each September, Acworth hosts a doggie beach day at Dallas Landing Park. Bring your furry friend and enjoy a day in the water, sand, and sun! Acworth doesn’t normally allow dogs on the sandy beach areas so you won’t want to miss out on this unique event! The event will consist of two time slots for dogs of all sizes. This event is open to all non-aggressive dogs who are spayed/neutered and current on their shots. See the Event Page
TASTE OF ACWORTH – October marks one of Acworth’s signature fall evens, The Taste of Acworth. An Acworth tradition for more than 10 years, Taste of Acworth takes place in the historic downtown district and features more than 150 booths from local restaurants, shops, and businesses. Local, live music and entertainment are available throughout the day, and children will enjoy the variety of inflatables, bungees, and games in the kid zone. Admission is FREE!

HALLOWEEN JAMBOOREE – A family favorite in Acworth, come out to Logan Farm Park in late October for a spooky good time! Children can participate in many different games where they can win candy and prizes, or they can take a turn on the inflatables. There is also a costume contest family friendly haunted hayride!

CLASSIC CAR CRUISE – The Lake City Cruisers and the City of Acworth magically transform downtown Acworth into a time capsule of some of the greatest classic automobiles, as well as some of today’s hottest cars. There may be some Halloween-themed participants in the fall, so watch out! The event is free to the public and $2 for each classic vehicle participating with all proceeds going to the Horizon Field, an all-inclusive special needs sports facility in Acworth. VETERANS CEREMONY – Join the City of Acworth in honoring those who have faithfully served their country as well as those who are now serving. The event takes place annually in November on Veteran’s Day at Patriots Point at Cauble Park, home of the Veterans Memorial to honor our nation’s veterans. Bring the family to Acworth to help honor our veterans and explore the city’s rich history while you are here. See Event Page
ACWORTH BEER & WINE FESTIVAL – Georgia is home to some of the finest craft brewers in the nation, and we celebrate the suds each November. Join us and enjoy over 100 craft beers, 20+ wines, live music, great food and lots of fun! This event is for adults 21 and older only. Sorry, no kids or pets allowed. ACWORTH TURKEY CHASE 5K – A Thanksgiving tradition with roots going back decades, the modern Turkey Chase is an exhilarating 5K run through Historic Downtown Acworth and along the shores of beautiful Lake Acworth. Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome and participants can choose between the 5K timed race, a 5K fun run, a 2K walk, and even a “Little Pilgrim” Trot for kids up to 5. The race starts in the morning and is a great way to start a Saturday in downtown Acworth. See Event Page
