DIXIE HIGHWAY YARD SALE – A June Acworth tradition for ten years, the Dixie Highway Yard Sale is a celebration of simpler times and historic communities along the old Dixie Highway in northwest Georgia. Acworth is one of several towns along this 90-mile long yard sale extravaganza that is a favorite among flea market aficionados. JULY 4TH HOLIDAY CONCERT AND FIREWORKS – Let freedom ring! What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than a day at Lake Acworth beach in Cauble Park, followed by one of the largest fireworks extravaganzas in Metro Atlanta. Live music starts in the afternoon and fireworks begin just after dark. And with historic downtown Acworth and its many restaurants just a short walk away, this a summer celebration not to be missed! CLASSIC CAR CRUISE – The Lake City Cruisers and the City of Acworth magically transform downtown Acworth into a time capsule of some of the greatest classic automobiles, as well as some of today’s hottest cars. The event is free to the public and $2 for each classic vehicle participating with all proceeds going to the Horizon Field, an all-inclusive special needs sports facility in Acworth.
