22 Feb Christmas in Acworth
In Acworth, we love the holiday season!
Main Street Acworth kicks things off with a Merchants Open House on Saturday, November 24, the day after Black Friday. This is known as Small Business Saturday and we encourage everyone to shop local! Shop the sales and sample treats in our downtown stores. Wild Blossoms, Rustic Ruby, and Pearl’s Spa always have beautifully decorated windows for the season. On the north end of Main Street, stroll through Frana Brown Park to see the festival of trees. Local school groups and businesses decorate Christmas trees donated by the Acworth Home Depot. While on the north end, make sure to visit the Serendipity House and shop their amazing Christmas selection. This historic Victorian home, features room after room of one-of-a-kind gifts and ornament lovers are sure to find the perfect addition for their Christmas trees.
On Saturday, December 1, the Acworth Arts Alliance will be hosting a Christmas Party at the Acworth Art House (4425 Cherokee Street) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This event is free to attend and opened to the public. Those attending will be able to create their own Christmas ornament! The Acworth Arts Alliance will also be hosting a Holiday Gift Shop across the street from the Art House at the Acworth Rosenwald School (4410 Cherokee Street) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This would be the perfect spot to get those one of a kind items for loved ones! For more information on the Acworth Arts Alliance, classes, and artists receptions, please visit their website: www.acworthartsalliance.org.
Acworth’s biggest event of the season is Santa’s Arrival on Friday, December 7 from 5:30-8:30. For more information on this event, click here.
Saturdays in December are lots of fun, too! The activities are family friendly and the perfect way to entertain the kiddos while getting some holiday shopping done. On Saturday, December 8 and Saturday, December 15, we will be celebrating “Christmas in Acworth”! Santa will be at the Plaza beside Acworth City Hall for pictures from 1-5 p.m. both days. Pictures are free of charge. Make sure to bring your own camera to capture this special moment, as no photographer will be on-site. In addition to pictures, there will also be free horse and carriage rides available on both Saturdays departing from the Plaza. We hope to see you this holiday season for Christmas in Acworth!
