The Space
The private home of a historian and a techie promises the perfect blend of history, convenience, a laid-back pace for your get-away while enjoying all the amenities of modern life.

Situated on two wooded acres, in a quaint historic neighborhood, our home offers three generous and well-appointed bedrooms and bath, each with a queen bed fitted with Egyptian cotton bed and bath linens to ensure a peaceful rest. Yes, there is even a c.1906 cast iron clawfoot tub for a long soak. Whether relaxing with a bottle of complimentary wine on either of the two private porches overlooking the grounds, sipping your morning coffee in the courtyard while listening to the birds, or reading a good book in the parlor, this home is the perfect place for a quiet retreat or gathering place for up to three couples.

Our home is just a short 5-minute walk down Main Street to the charming and walkable historic downtown. Acworth boasts a vibrant restaurant and bar scene and offers everything from fresh seafood to soul food. It’s the perfect place to sip and stroll, sample delicious local fare at Henry’s Louisiana Grill and Fusco’s authentic Italian restaurant just to name a few, or peruse a wide variety of shops and galleries and make new memories.

Acworth’s leisurely/unhurried pace make it the perfect place to unwind and explore for a long weekend. Enjoy the Summer Concerts at the Lake Acworth beach during the summer months, or classic antique car shows along Main Street, or a Farmers’ Market at Logan Farm Park on Friday mornings from April to October, or the spring’s Art Festival. For the outdoorsy type, Acworth has 4 lakeside parks all with white sand beaches and boasts about 7 miles of hiking and biking trails regardless of the season.

A new ordinance allows people to drive golf carts on the streets. Seeing Acworth from behind the wheel of a golf cart is easy, leisurely, and a whole lot of fun. Appalachian Outfitters on Main Street offers kayak and paddleboard rentals. Arrangements for bicycles can be made too. Just let your hosts know in advance!

***The home’s formal dining room is available by prior arrangement for special occasions and an additional charge.***
