The Cowan Historic Mill is Acworth’s oldest commercial building. It was built by resident, John Cowan, in the late 1870’s. It began as a flourmill, and later became a tapestry mill. Since that time, it has been remodeled and reclaimed as an event venue with space for social gatherings and parties. The Cowan Historic Mill has space to host large weddings, receptions, catered affairs and presentations. For weddings, it has the space for a dance floor and movable stage. Call us to book the Cowan Historic Mill for your next special event!

The Cowan Historic Mill is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Acworth. With aged brick walls inside, stone walls outside, and greenery surrounding the property, the photos taken at The Cowan Mill will look amazing! It is also close to Lake Acworth, the Acworth boardwalk, and the Gazebo. The Cowan Historical Mill can host up to 300+ people, hold a small stage, sound equipment, food and drinks and more.
