ACWORTH TOURISM PRESS ROOM

Located just 35 miles north of downtown Atlanta in Cobb County, Acworth is the ideal location for big or small screen projects.  In addition to its Historic Downtown, listed on the National Register for Historic Places, Acworth is also home to the 260-acre Lake Acworth, Lake Allatoona, thirteen city parks and five miles of trails.

Acworth, Georgia is located about 35 miles northwest of Atlanta minutes off of I-75 in Cobb County. While it is close enough to Atlanta to experience professional sports and cultural events equated with a larger city, the small-town atmosphere of Acworth offers ample opportunities for family fun and tranquility.

Acworth is located in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains and is nestled along the banks of Lake Acworth and Lake Allatoona, hence its nickname “The Lake City.” Rich in history, abundant in outdoor recreational activities, and an active festival and events calendar, come discover why Acworth is one of the best, family-friendly destinations in the Atlanta region.
