Open Water Swim Championship

The Georgia State Games Open Water Swim Championships will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Lake Acworth in Cauble Park. This competitive open-water swimming event welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels who are capable of swimming unassisted. Swimmers may compete in multiple race distances, including ½K, 1K, 2.5K, and 5K events, with awards presented in youth and adult age divisions.

The event begins with registration and athlete check-in in the early morning and concludes with awards and course closure by approximately 12:45 p.m. The championship is part of the annual Georgia Games, an Olympic-style multi-sport festival promoting fitness, sportsmanship, and healthy competition throughout Georgia.
